Were you recently diagnosed with diabetes? Do you have a family member living with diabetes? Do you have questions on how to manage your blood glucoses, nutrition, monitoring and living with diabetes every day?
Join members of St. Tammany Health System’s Diabetes Education program for a free, hands-on health education experience featuring weekly sessions on diabetes self- management. The sessions will be held at the St. Tammany Physicians Network North Covington clinic (17240 Heartbeat Circle, Covington).
Topics covered will include what it means to be healthy, medication reviews, basic nutrition, a cooking demonstration, a grocery store tour and exercise demonstrations. All sessions will be led by professionals in the field.
Program dates are: Tuesday, July 8, 15, 22, 29; and Aug. 5 and 12 from 10 a.m. to noon.
