Crumbl Cookies goes pink in support of breast cancer awareness

Things are a little sweeter today for patients at the St. Tammany Health System Women’s Pavilion in Covington and St. Tammany Cancer Center, a campus of Ochsner Medical Center.

On Friday (Oct. 14), local Crumbl Cookies franchise operator Kelsi Cahoon and kids Maci, Gunner and Hank delivered 200 individually boxed cookies – pink ones, naturally – to be given to patients at both facilities.

According to Kelsi, the donation was made as part of a company-wide recognition of October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a cause near and dear to the heart of Crumbl founder Sawyer Hemsley, whose grandmother – a cancer survivor – died earlier this year.

To mark the occasion, and to remember “Grandma Gail,” every cookie in Crumbl’s weekly lineup this week is pink.

On behalf of all of our patients, and in memory of Grandma Gail, big thanks to the Cahoon krewe, to Crumbl Cookies and to Sawyer.
