Employee Campaign

The One Heartbeat Employee Campaign is a special initiative that St. Tammany Hospital Foundation drives each year. For a few weeks during the summer, employees of St. Tammany Health System are given the opportunity to make a contribution to a healthcare cause that is meaningful to them. Since its inception in 2003, the One Heartbeat Employee Campaign has raised more than $1.7 million that goes directly back to the hospital for programs, facilities and equipment purchases.

What is the One Heartbeat Campaign?

The One Heartbeat employee campaign is a five-week organized season of giving where colleagues have the opportunity to support a healthcare cause of their choice by making a charitable contribution to St. Tammany Hospital Foundation. Throughout the duration of the campaign there will be celebrations, giveaways and other fun activities.

Funds donated to St. Tammany Hospital Foundation directly support healthcare causes of YOUR choice. Your charitable contributions make a meaningful impact on some of STHS’s most pressing needs from colleague education and training, equipment purchases, patient assistance programs, department funding, or assistance for your fellow colleagues through the Colleague Benevolent Fund.

Why should I give?

St. Tammany Hospital Foundation supports the hospital through the generosity of donors in this community. As part of this community, and as a pillar of what makes this hospital great, you have this unique opportunity to see the St. Tammany Health System YOU want to see through your support. Employee gifts are vital! Since the employee campaign’s inception, we have raised over $1.7 million!

What else should I know about the campaign?

This campaign is YOUR chance to make a lasting impact on St. Tammany Health System. Think about what you truly care about and make your mark on it. If you have any questions at all, please contact Doug Walker at the Foundation at extension 4174 or dwalker@stph.org

I am not sure what I should support...

No problem! If you are interested in giving, but don't know what to support, just make a gift to Unrestricted - Caring for St. Tammany. Your gift will be placed in our general fund, which can be used to support the health system's needs as they come about. This is especially important for the Little Grant, Big Impact grant program, where every two years departments are invited to submit funding requests for “Wow” factor ideas benefiting health system departments, patients or colleagues.

Campaign Prizes!

Each gift made is also an opportunity to win some AWESOME prizes!

"Pave" It Forward

Did you know a gift of at least $100 to the One Heartbeat Employee Campaign allows you to get a brick to go on the employee brick pathway on main campus?

You can also add your own symbols! Select one of the giving options above to make your gift and your brick order - and if you'd like a special symbol or engraving, please view your options here.
