Every year, the St. Tammany Hospital Foundation invites colleagues across St. Tammany Health System to join the One Heartbeat Employee Campaign, a powerful, colleague-driven initiative that turns your generosity into real impact at the place you care about most.
Since 2003, colleagues have celebrated the campaign with their own generosity, with every dollar going directly back to St. Tammany Health System to support programs, facilities, technology, education, equipment, patient services, the Colleague Benevolent Fund, and so much more.
Why Your Gift Matters
The last 2 years each have seen more than 1,000 colleagues pledge over $136,000. In 2025, Foundation disbursed more than $2 million back to the health system to fund hospice programs, cancer center services, Healing Arts, critical equipment, employee initiatives and much more.
Your gift supports the healing work you do every day, helping both patients and fellow colleagues.

Easy Ways to Give
Payroll Deduction (strongly encouraged)
- Convenient – Automatic and hassle-free
- Confidential - Your amount is never shared
- Flexible - Two simple deduction options:
1) Recurring Gift - Give any amount you choose each pay period to any fund(s) you select. Continues automatically into next year until you change or stop it. Your generosity keeps working without annual re-enrollment.
2) Pledge Gift - Deduct a total amount you set over as many pay periods as you want (1 to 26). Perfect if you prefer a defined end date.
Average colleague gift: ~$130 per year (about $5 per pay period). If every one of our 3,200 colleagues gave just $5 per pay period, we could raise over $400,000 together.
One-Time Gifts
If you don’t want to use payroll deduction, that’s totally fine! Just opt for a credit card donation on the website or your pledge form! Again, participation is what we aim for each year!
